News that Michigan will begin to lift COVID19 restrictions starting right after Memorial Day weekend brings hope and renewed excitement to the hotel and restaurant industry. In interviews with Channel 7 ABC and Channel CW50 CBS, Boutique Hotel Professionals CEO, Paul Wegert, CHA, shares his insight on how the industry, and specifically, The Inn at St. John's is responding to the news.
As one of metro Detroit's premier wedding venues, hosting 250 plus luxury weddings each year, Michigan's COVID19 mandates took a major toll on their business and employee morale. The lifting of restrictions means a step towards much needed normalcy for everyone at the property. It also means that The Concours d'Elegance of America, one of the largest events hosted at The Inn at St. John's, will once again take place on July 23-25, 2021. Last year marked the first year without an event in their 42-year history.
